6/25-6/26: Three flights, two layovers and finally we’re in Hyderabad, India.
6/27: Settling into Google corporate apartments and eating Indian food!
6/28: Recovering from illness/apartment fever and going to the mall.
6/29: New (to me) Indian foods and shopping for Hyderabadi pearls.
6/30: Buttermilk. Ugh.
7/1: Indian buffet and eating weird things plus going to the movies and the park.
7/2: Breakfast at Chutneys, touring the Qutb Shahi Tombs, and climbing up 380 steps at Golkonda Fort.
7/3: Sightseeing at Chowmahalla Palace, Charminar and buying souvenirs at Laad Bazaar.
7/4: M’s quick blurb on Fourth of July.
7/5: Restful vacation in India.
7/6: Political lockdown of Hyderabad.
7/7: My little brother’s birthday and shopping for his present at a handicraft store.
7/8: Karachi fruit biscuits, yum! Flying from Hyderabad to Delhi.
7/9: Sightseeing in Delhi – Red Fort, Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate, Lotus Temple and a few random sights thrown in.
7/10: Taj Mahal in Agra and inlaid marble tabletop masterpieces.
7/11: Flew from Delhi to Mumbai.
7/12: Tour of Mumbai, including the slums.
7/13: Travel by train to Goa.
7/14: Park Hyatt Goa Resort and Spa is beautiful and on the beach.
7/15-7/17: Hanging out and relaxing at the 5-star hotel.
7/18: Last thoughts on India as we fly home!
7/19: Wrapping it up. Home at last.
