Rousing reception.

Michael and I had a great time last night in Napa. Even though it was cold, rainy, and gray, we still stayed out way past my bedtime before finally making it back to the John Muir Inn.Ryan and Chelsea’s reception was held at The Vintner’s Golf Club in Yountville. It got dark a little too fast for me to enjoy the scenery, but the air outside on the patio smelled fresh and green. There was wine and cupcakes galore. A little too much of both for me honestly – I felt a little sick. Red wine and sugary frosting in copious amounts is not easy on the stomach. Michael and Will, a longtime friend, obviously had iron stomachs because they drank so much beer. It was kind of amazing.

Then they smoked cigars. Unbelievable. I need to eat a little healthier the next couple of days to offset the excesses. Thank God my bangs deflated a little though. Michael said that he saw the pictures on the blog and thought they looked a little wonky, but now that they’ve settled down, he likes them. :)

The Verona Project.

We had a friend over tonight and are currently three bottles of wine in. I will leave you with pictures of last night’s wonderful event at CalShakes. “The Verona Project” is loosely based on Shakespeare’s “Two Gentlemen of Verona” and is actually a musical. It was fantastic and the singers were so talented. I asked if I could buy the album, but there wasn’t one. I cried.

But now I’m going to bask in my wine fuzzies and go to bed soon.

xoxo,

Jenn
