UC Hastings Moot Court team.

Hey there.  That letter above is like a Hogwarts letter.  Except real, you know.

I made a Moot Court team!  Tryouts were a couple of weeks ago and even though my phone started vibrating during my argument, I played it cool, reached into my pocket to turn off the buzzing, and kept on arguing.  That call turned out to be a job opportunity calling, fill you in on it later ;)

I’ll be competing with a partner and doing the Thomas Tang Moot Court Competition.  Unlike a lot of the other competitions, maybe even all the other competitions, Tang has two competitions in the Fall – a regional and a national.  That just means that I will be working that much harder and counting every minute of my time that much more closely come Fall semester.

UC Hastings’ Moot Court program is currently ranked best in the nation.  I am at once terrified and really excited to be part of this winning team.  I’m also excited to travel to Washington, D.C. for nationals.  Not quite sure where regionals will be yet, but I know D.C. will be awesome.Yikes!  A post about my job-searching experience coming up soon.

Jenn

Studying in the sun.

What do law students do on their lunch break?

Study.What did you think?

It’s either study or go to office hours. Or go to a meeting.

Yea, it’s definitely not all fun and games. But when it’s sunny out, as it was today, San Francisco really shines. Makes studying a little more bearable.

By the way, I’m obsessed with chocolate milk. Mostly chocolate soy milk, but in a pinch, I’d even drink chocolate cow milk. And I never drink cow milk.

xoxo,

Jenn
