My first Sharks game.

I think Michael has finally found a sport I like.  We’ve watched the Niners and the Giants, but football and baseball games always seem to end in disaster for the two of us.  Hockey, on the other hand, is fast and furious.  It keeps my attention and I am delighted to no end when the guys on the rink start squabbling and hitting each other with their sticks.  HP Pavilion is also SO nice and there’s lots of food choices.

All 6 of us had a great Sunday afternoon.

La ultima noche in Costa Rica.

Last night in Costa Rica here. Nidia, Michael’s grandmother, has really spoiled us by letting us stay at her house and cooking for us whenever we are hungry.

Michael and I spent the day running errands and getting things together for our 4 p.m. flight tomorrow afternoon. We bought presents for the family – Chris, you’re getting something :) and I even popped into a random salon to get my nails done. The beach and all that salt water really destroyed my mani/pedi. Can’t say that it was like getting them done in the States at all, but it had its pros and cons. One less thing for me to do before school starts on Monday. Things lost on the trip so far by me: 0. Well, a pair of pink goggles, but the sea really robbed me of those so I don’t think it counts.

Things lost on the trip so far by Michael: $30 in colones, Ray Ban aviators, and a bottle of hot sauce we brought from home. (Yea, we’re hot sauce fanatics). We bought so many snacks to bring home. Most of it consists of smoked tuna in oil which is so delicious, but we also have a bajillion bottles of different hot sauces. Michael is also bringing back Naranitas, this sugary Kix-like cereal with a slight orange flavor. I hated on them so hard because they look terrible, but then I tried a bite. They actually aren’t that bad.I hope I can kick this cough by resting a lot on the weekend. I did buy some Costa Rican honey to bring home so will definitely be using a lot of that in gallons of hot chamomile tea.

Bon voyage! See you soon Mumsies and Dad. And kitties! (Dad, you cannot have Cleo. She is my cat. But you can have Miaosie.)

xoxo,

Jenn
