Google sent me to Vegas Thursday and Friday last week. Let me tell you, it was some hard work.
One of my clients was having a PPC search offsite and invited us, me & Wolfgang Puck (in case you didn’t remember, my teammates all have wolf names because of our team wolf theme.
Since it was my pick, I decided to stay at Paris because I have never been there. Their replica of the Eiffel Tower was huge, standing from the floor of the casino and sticking through numerous floors above. All the signs were in French. We got there Thursday morning – early enough that our rooms were not ready yet – so we decided to go through a mock presentation and get some chow at the same time.
One of the shops on Le Boulevard was La Creperie. Hey when in Rome … or is it when in France?
I decided to go for something savory instead of sweet. I had the St. Louis, which was a crepe smothered in cheese and ham.
After our presentation, we went go-carting for a few hours. I came in third place! Wolfgang came out ahead of me. When I told Jenn, she mocked me.
Tired and more than a little punchy, I retired to my room for a shower and some poolside time. Then, our client took us out to dinner at Spago in Caesar’s Forum. I had some amazing braised beef short ribs and an heirloom tomato salad. The ribs practically disintegrated in my mouth and the tomatoes were bursting with flavor. Even better than the tomatoes we got at the Farmer’s Market yesterday.
After dinner we went to the Revolution, a nightclub at the Mirage, for some fun. $1000 dollars later, the night was over. Hey, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas
Strength and Honor,
