A few girlfriends, Michael and I watched Olympus Has Fallen this afternoon. But not only did we watch what turned out to be an armrest-gripping, patriotism-inspiring movie, we also did a little cookie competition during our viewing.
Monica insists that Anthony’s has the best cookies. Their “cookies and cream” cookie is apparently the best ever. Well, Michael and I happen to be partial to the chocolate chip variety from Specialty’s. So we both brought our A-game cookies and proceeded to taste test while watching the movie.
It was kind of hard to see what flavor cookie we were tasting, but the texture and size differences were obvious. Anthony’s has smaller, more portion-appropriate cookies with a crispier exterior and better chew. Specialty’s behemoths are saltier, thicker, and denser. Michael and I apparently both like the dense crumb of Specialty’s while Monica insists that Anthony’s where it’s at.
We agreed to disagree and continue loving our respective cookies, and went to sushi down the street. Win, win.
