UC Hastings moot court banquet 2013.

I baked cookies yesterday afternoon for the banquet tonight.  (They turned out super tasty, but pretty crumbly and awful-looking.)  I still remember attending last year having just gotten the call that I made a Fall team.  So excited.  It’s been a long year with a lot of highs and lows regarding moot court, but I can still confidently say that I think UC Hastings’ moot court program is amazing.  The training, effort, time and support given to each competitor is priceless.

So even though I didn’t try out for a team next year, I am still going to stay a part of the moot court family in any way I can.  It’s a little bittersweet, but I always have my competition partner, Monica, to lean on.  That’s another great thing about Hastings’ moot court program, the bonds and friendships you make really run deep.

The night before, Sacramento City.

Tomorrow, my partner and I compete in Regionals for the Thomas Tang International Moot Court Competition.  It’s a little like Glee.  But not.

We are in Sacramento right now and just had one last warm-up practice with our student coach and alumni coach.  They are awesome.  Really the best coaches ever.

Time to sleep soon.  Rest our brain cells and hopefully kill it tomorrow!

xoxo,

Jenn
