Special Sunday morning breakfast.

If every weekend were daylight savings time, I might be able to whip something like this up more often.  That extra hour really is just wonderful.

I was actually sort of impressed by the fact that my pancakes really tasted like real pancakes. :)

Early-bird oatmeal.

I become such an early morning person during the school year.  My most productive hours are definitely from 7 a.m. to about 10 a.m. so I get up around 6ish.

The other upside to getting up so early is I usually have time to make whatever breakfast I want to eat.  The past couple of days have been more smoothie/fruit days, but sometimes I fancy it up and make really creamy chia seed oatmeal and top it with tons of fun ingredients like goji berries and brown sugar for me, bananas, brown sugar and peanut butter for Michael.

Then I do about 3 hours of reading.  Whoo hoo…
