First-time homeowners. That’s us. We got the keys this afternoon.
Michael and I are camped out in one of the bedrooms tonight with a sleeping bag, a bottle of Veuve Clicquot to celebrate, and jumpy nerves. The house is almost 100 years old, probably five times the size of our little apartment (maybe more), and we aren’t used to its creaks and noises.
But it is beautiful.
Goodnight. I may not sleep a wink tonight, but I will be very excited every waking moment.

After my Criminal Procedure final yesterday morning, I had to go in for an emergency tooth extraction. Rough week.
But the tooth is out, the swelling and soreness from the infection prior to the extraction is mostly gone, and the tenderness isn’t too bad.
Soft foods. Puddings, juices, and warm (not hot) soups. I made oatmeal and topped it with a sunny-side up egg and half an avocado this morning. I think a nap is in my near future.
