Birthday shopping spree.

I have the best brother in the world.  We’re only about 16 months apart and have always been super close.  Chris was going to take me to dinner at Burma Superstar tonight but we got sidetracked because I had to use a few birthday coupons sent me by Nordstroms, Banana Republic, and DSW.  IMG_9021 IMG_9023 IMG_9022 IMG_9025 IMG_9026 IMG_9032So instead of buying me dinner, he treated me to several outfits.  A few pieces are perfect for work, like the slim Theory pants and the black-piped white blouse with the peter pan collar.  The new leather jacket is also awesome!

But I think my favorite has to be the magician blazer.  Chris thought it was horrible, but I got two compliments on it before I even exited the store.IMG_9028 IMG_9029David Copperfield, you better hide all your tricks because there’s a new magician in town.

Then Chris sat through Magic Mike with me.  Seriously, best brother in the world.IMG_9036

Google Mad Men themed holiday party.

IMG_5978 IMG_5996 IMG_5990 IMG_5988 IMG_5982 IMG_5979This is really a case of the. worst. timing. ever.  I look forward to Michael’s holiday party each year because Google really knows how to throw a bash.  Last year at the Westin was fantastic.  This year, with the W hotel as the venue and a preparty at Michael’s lovely coworker’s place, promised to also be lots of fun.IMG_6017IMG_6002IMG_6000IMG_6015IMG_6008IMG_6024Mad Men-themed parties are always so snazzy.  Everyone was dressed to the nines and looked fabulous.  Too bad I only had time for one drink and a few deviled eggs before I had to head home.  If only my Constitutional Law II final weren’t at 8 a.m. tomorrow morning.  My ensemble would get a lot more wear and I’d be having a lot more fun.IMG_6030Alas, it’s slippers time and a couple more hours of studying.

I am very excited to be officially halfway through law school though.  And my best friend Kayla will be in town tomorrow afternoon.  It’ll be all things wedding-related for a few weeks before Michael and I set off on our holiday trip to Canada!
