Chris is in Miami, Florida partying it up this week and celebrating his 24th birthday.  I gave him the bottle of hot sauce on the left a couple of weeks ago when I was home visiting for my friend Ashley’s bridal shower as an early gift.  Michael and I bought it as a souvenir when we were in Key West taste testing hot sauces at a specialty store.

Chris and I put it to a head-to-head spice-off against another sauce he already had in the fridge.  They were both super spicy.  I’m not sure what was accomplished by the contest except a numb tongue and a sweaty forehead for me.  Both sauces were delicious, but I prefer a more mustardy flavor so liked Lottie’s more.  The Blazin’ sauce was a little too sour.

I’m going to file away “specialty hot sauce” as a good gift item.  Right underneath “fake mustache.”
