M-ondays: Buenos Aires

I think Bueno Aires is fantastic. Jenn and I are going to have to visit in the future so we can explore the city properly and visit other parts of Argentina too.

Most of the city is filthy, just as bad as Bogota,  but it has a vibrant feel that  made me look past all the trash and graffiti.

Or it could be the malbec and carne that memorized me. Every meal outside of Google included a bottle wine and a beautiful steak. That’s not all folks. I also started my meals off with an appetizer of course.

Perhaps a salad?

Nope, my poison was choripan.

In between my carnivorous trance, I did find some time to sight-see and take in the arts. I checked out the Casa Rosada (Pink House), which is like our White House.  The details in this house are spectacular.

I also found time to attend a live  Tango Show. Why would I go to that?

Well I use to take lessons and on my first date with Jenn (over 3 years ago, wow) I took her Tango dancing. I think that is what sealed the deal. :)

The dancers were breath-taking and the show was well done. It even had a live orchestra.

On my final day, I checked out this fabulous antique market in San Telmo, where hundreds of merchants try to peddle their old junk. You can spend hours looking at everything. I ended getting a pretty cool hat and Jenn a new scarf. :)

Only have a few more days in Lima till I head back to the states. I can’t wait to see the kitties, I hope they still remember me.

Strength and Honor,

M
