Fort Mason’s General Residence is booked for next May!  We got it  Our planner, Jessica, emailed us the great news and we put our deposit down immediately.  Everything feels so much more real now.  I’ve already had my “oh my God, my engagement ring broke and the diamond fell out” anxiety dream.  But I am so excited.  The venue is perfect – on the water, private, intimate, gorgeous views, very San Francisco.  And Michael did propose at Fort Mason.

We’re starting to vet photographers and caterers.  Well, Michael is really doing most of the vetting.  I haven’t responded to anything my planner’s sent me for the last month because of finals.

I have to say though, thank goodness we decided to hire a planner.  There is absolutely no way I would be able to plan a wedding while in law school.  Some women have dreamed of their weddings since they were two, really want to plan everything, and are really keen on all the details.  I’m not one of those women and I don’t care to do hours of research or price point comparisons.

I’d rather go frolic around in Peru and see Machu Picchu.  Four days and counting down.  I can’t wait.

Although I do wonder what Jessica would say if I asked whether Miaosie could be the ringbearer.  She comes leash-trained and is very sociable…xoxo,
