Wedding – SF Film Centre.

Michael, Chris and I checked out the San Francisco Film Centre in the Presidio Friday evening.  Our planner Jessica suggested it as a potential back-up.

As we drove up, a niggling sensation of familiarity struck me.  It felt like I’d been there before.  Then, as Rosemary led us through on the tour, it hit me.  I attended a wedding at the SF Film Centre maybe five years ago.  My ex-boyfriend’s brother got married there.  Awkward.

The SF Film Centre has a lot of perks.  It is situated in a beautiful location – isolated, green, near the water.  You can do the ceremony outside which is one of my wants.  However, it’s a little small even for my estimated intimate party of 80.  The ballroom feels cramped even though it has tall ceilings.  And there is a lot of concrete around.  The grassy lawns, while beautifully manicured, are short and right behind them is the parking lot.  Lots and lots of parking lot and sidewalk.

So not really the right fit.  Not enough wow.

Nearby is Inspiration Point which is another potential location for an outside ceremony.  We could get married there and bring the reception back to the SF Film Centre.  Inspiration Point is gorgeous and the view is killer. But, nope, not even Inspiration Point could change our minds.

SF Film Centre?  Out.

xoxo,

Jenn
