Blind double date.

Who doesn’t love matchmaking?

My piano teacher and Michael’s mom are responsible for the blind date that led to the engagement that led to the wedding planning we’re doing now.

So if I have a single friend, Aubrey, and Michael has a single coworker at Google, Adrian, and they are both willing and interested in a casual get-together over some good food, why not? Enter Emmy’s Spaghetti Shack last night.Emmy’s is way out there in Bernal Heights, but the food is actually very tasty and the portion sizes enormous.

The Malbec flowed, the pasta was consumed, lots of laughter was had, and two giant desserts gobbled. I’m pretty sure Aubrey and Adrian like each other.I don’t want to be presumptuous and start hearing wedding bells (other than my own), but all I know is that Michael and I rolled ourselves home and left the two new lovebirds chattering away in a bar in the Mission. We wanted to let Mother Nature take over. I’m sure Aubs was also happy not to have my awkward self making awkward jokes every two minutes.

Because who doesn’t like making two people who’ve never met each other feel uncomfortable on their first blind date. And who doesn’t like riding in a shopping cart?

xoxo,

Jenn
