Do you ever stay up so late and get up so early that your eyes haven’t had a chance to rest properly so they look bloodshot and crazy? Yes.But sometimes it’s worth it. My final moot court brief draft passed the preliminary 50-error rule test! Yes! That means I just need to make the final corrections, get eight copies of my brief bound and turn it in on Thursday. Guaranteed pass.
Sleep-deprived, eyesore, and a little crazy from mental fatigue? Whatevs.Early yesterday morning, the mailman delivered presents from me to myself for my 25th birthday. I ordered some suede high-waisted shorts and a giant faux fur coat in a fit of law-school-induced pique last week.Fortunately or unfortunately, the mailman delivered the package early enough for me to wear the jacket to school. In my crazed state, I thought, yea, enormous faux fur for law school. Totally appropriate. And, as I tried on my gold ballet flats to see how they’d look with the fur coat, my “lost” slim gold Seiko watch fell out of the toe. It’s been missing for weeks, but I refused to believe I’d lost it. I never lose things. That’s Michael’s job. Turns out I was right. I didn’t lose it. Who cares if I look like an escaped gorilla. Or a life-size teddy bear. Or a shaved muskrat.
My brief passed. Whoo!
