We woke up to a crisp and beautiful day in Half Moon Bay. The dinner party last night was a smashing success. Michael said if we host next time, we’re going to have to cater. I wonder if that’s some sort of comment on my cooking abilities?
But we couldn’t stay.
Michael had Chinese school this morning. I have a ton of homework. And, we’re both still sick. I’m on my way back to healthy, but Michael is on his way down. Sleeping next to a sickly coughing girl five nights in a row did him in. Oopsies.
We stopped by Whole Foods when we got back in San Francisco and picked up a few drinks.
I split the Evolution Essential Greens drink with Michael. The one on the left is still hanging out in the fridge. I’m a little scared to try it after choking down the Daily Detox drink. It’s all green veggies, no fruit. A little rough to get down, but I’m hoping it’s kicking the cold virus’ butt.
Tonight was supposed to be a night out on the town to celebrate a friend’s birthday, but we are in no shape for a dance party. I’m going to cuddle up to my Criminal casebook with a bottle of beer in hand and maybe one of Chelsea’s amazing Italian Cream cupcakes. I think Transformers is on the Netflix queue tonight.
Just to let you know, being sick does not prevent me from eating cupcakes. I can still monster at least two a day. Nor does it prevent me from drinking beer.
xoxo,
Jenn
