Food poisoning over the weekend. Ugh. Such a bad case, but I’m finally over the hump and pretty much recovered. I don’t think I’ve been that sick in a good long while. Michael called Olea to tell them what made us sick and left them a message, but we haven’t heard back. Not very nice, Olea.
We had a date night tonight and before we headed to the theater, Michael wanted to eat at Showdogs. I’ve eaten a housemade veggie dog there before and it was NOT good. He insisted. His hot dog sucked because everything was overpowered by their housemade mustards and coleslaw and sauerkraut.

Even the pickle tasted weird. I didn’t get anything because I knew better. At least I got to say, “I told you so.”
Michael got me a onesie, Hunter boots, and front-row tickets to see “Bring It On” at the Orpheum for Christmas. I got him some ridiculous Nike under armor tights – just to see what he would look like in them. Oops?
(I actually got him a lot more clothes too, lest you think me an awful fiancee.)
But I just got back from “Bring It On” and it was totally worth it to see the show front-row. So much fun.
It might just be because I used to be a cheerleader, well Song girl really. Lowell High School in San Francisco does it a bit differently, we have cheerleaders and song girls and other groups that do rhythmic step and hip hop dance etc., but Cheer and Song are the big ones. Song is kind of a combination of cheerleading (without the high-flying stunts), jazz, and hip hop. All done in a squad. Competitive dance, if you will. Ok, enough about Song.
I may have just really liked “Bring It On” because of my quasi-cheer background, but it was full of music, dance, real cheerleading stunts, and drama. My favorite.
I definitely recommend the show, it’s a blast. Michael and I haven’t seen a musical that blew us away and really had us laughing in the seats in a while, but this one did. Michael loved it too. We got some good snacks to eat in the theater. Can you guess which ones are mine?
We’re heading out to the airport tomorrow night…Costa Rica-bound!
xoxo,
Jenn
