Last night at Circa to celebrate the end of our first semester in law school? Fantastically fun, epic, and incredibly late.
I went to bed around 3:30 a.m.
The festivities aren’t stopping yet though. I just got back from the Grand Hyatt’s holiday party. My dad works there, in Security, and somehow finagled invitations for our whole family.
I tried to recover from last night’s hurrah by cooking up some healthy and nutritious brunch foods, and having Mike and my brother come over for company. There were roasted potatoes, carrots and onions (to be enjoyed with ketchup or barbeque sauce), beans (for protein), and a pico de gallo wheatberry salad thing.
Mike brought over a few ridiculously cute and yummy Whole Foods treats. Chris just ate. Like a little piglet. Then he said everything tasted really good, especially the wheatberry salad, but I was skating dangerously close to “too healthy” territory. I told him to shove it.
A couple of hours later, I was dolled up, headed to the Grand Hyatt over in Union Square, and slinging my new hot pink clutch over my shoulder.
My mom is hilarious. Any time she can dress like a 70′s disco singer? Done.
Those were leather pants, my friends. With a slit up the back to her calf. And an enormously fluffy rabbit fur coat that’s 25 years old.

Mumsies and Chris are pretty funny. The bathroom was also kind of cool. The Grand Hyatt’s been renovated and there are LED lights and flat-panel TVs built into the mirrors in the bathrooms now.
I need to go to sleep. Have a great night.
xoxo,
Jenn
