Michael’s really done it. He’s a bonafied captain. He chartered a boat with a friend and we sailed from San Francisco this morning to Napa with Sean and his girlfriend Erica.

9 hours of at-sea sailing. Or rather, motoring. The ocean was flat as glass and there was absolutely no wind. But no matter, it was a sunny, cloudless, beautiful day. I slept and ate, and ate and slept. I could either be found snoring on the benches or stuffing my face with snacks. I did a bit of homework too.

Pretty scary when we only had a couple feet of depth between our keel and the bottom of the Napa riverbed. But the boys got through it with flying colors.
Glorious. After we landed at Napa around 6 p.m., we cleaned up and set out for a late dinner at Chandon E’toile.More on that tomorrow! Another 9 hours of sailing in front of us to get back to San Francisco.
xoxo,
Jenn
