I’m engaged! This is the big announcement I alluded to yesterday. Please excuse the rather shameless series of photos above – all my girlfriends have been screaming to see pictures all day. Now for the story.
Around 4:30 p.m. yesterday, after watching the air show at Fort Mason, we trekked up the stairs to the giant woodsy area overlooking the water. Angel Island, Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge, and Ghiradelli Square gleamed in the distance.
I had no idea what was coming. The proposal happened about 15 minutes after the picture above was taken.
Michael started acting super weird as we neared the top of the hill. He freaked out when I tried to put my water bottle in his backpack and I noticed he kept his hand conspicuously in his pocket.
Turns out he had the ring in his pocket and the ring box in his backpack. The proposal was private, traditional, very sweet, and I am still a little in shock. The picture above was taken right after I said “Yes!” There was also a bit of crying on my part. 
No plans for the wedding anytime soon, gotta finish law school first, but I’m engaged! Needless to say, I’m very happy right now. I had no idea yesterday was my last day as a “single” lady!
