Now I know what it feels like be Michael: human pack mule, constant sherpa, and relentless porter extraordinaire.
I had to carry all three of my super heavy, hardbound textbooks to school today. And my laptop. And all the miscellaneous things I need to survive (mostly snacks.) Hastings is only a double handful of blocks away from the apartment, but I was almost dead when I got home this afternoon. Probably because the entire way back home is uphill.
My backpack sucked.
This is a super cute backpack I bought from Urban Outfitters for something like $70 maybe a year ago, but it is not up to doing any real work. I thought my back was going to break in half from the odd distribution of weight and though I got home with my spine intact, I’m going to have bruises all up and down and everywhere.
It was time for a backpack intervention.
M brought out his collection of backpacks. One from business school, one Camelback that he uses to go sailing, and one that Google gave him. I girlfriend taxed the Google one. So now, I have girlfriend taxed his Sony VAIO laptop and a new backpack for law school. I think he’s wondering what he can get as a tax return.

I think this is going to preserve my health, and sanity, for at least a little while.
Ok, another 18 pages to read for property…Ciao!
xoxo,
Jenn
