San Francisco food crawl.

Instead of a pub crawl, Michael and I took Kayla around on a food crawl today, hitting up the touristy spots in San Francisco.

Because you know, it’s fun once in a while to do those things.

We ate a TON of food. At one point, I was actually so full it hurt to stand up straight. Highlights include:

1) Being scared by the Bushman. He rattled his little screen of tied-together leaves and twigs at me and I definitely startled.

2) Seeing a breakdance showcase happening in the middle of the sidewalk that ended with a guy flipping himself over two other dudes.

3) Spotting a huge sea lion going by. He was so close in the water.Lunch was pho at Vietnam II, my favorite Vietnamese restaurant. My dad used to go there every week for 20-something years when he used to work at the Federal building. Kayla specially requested it. She ordered the pho with all the fixin’s – tripe, tendon, meatballs, beef slices etc. I was impressed. Such a good day.

The scenic route.

Hola chickies, I’m back.

5 days. 3 tanks of gas. 1300 miles.

Goodbye San Diego.

Goodbye Los Angeles.

It’s nice to be home in San Francisco. Kayla and I left Los Angeles yesterday afternoon only to find that the I-5 was “jammed” and there would be a 90-minute delay. We looked at each other. Then called Michael. He advised us to take the 126-W and come up the 101-N.

We didn’t realize it would take us forever coming up the 101. It’s the scenic route.

But finally, around midnight, we rolled into San Francisco. I’ve never been so happy to see fog in my life.

Time for a bit of sightseeing and eating!

xoxo,

Jenn
