We’re flying out of Hyderabad this evening and from Delhi, we’ll be traveling back to the States! Soon enough (actually 24+ hours of traveling later), I’ll be landing back in my beloved San Francisco and cuddling a furry kitty to my face.
India, it was good seeing you. Nice to have met you, I don’t know that we’ll have an opportunity to have tea again, but it was great while it lasted.

Thoughts – India is an aggressively filthy, grasping, seemingly crumbling country and state, but it’s also impeccably grand, immensely green and lush, and honestly beautiful. Streets are always lively and bustling here. There’s definitely no shortage of noise and stimulation. The culture is fascinating and one of my life goals is to attend an Indian wedding, it’s sure to be a blowout affair.

The food has been delicious here. One-note, intensely and constantly spiced, but delicious. Michael’s coworkers and friends here have been invaluable in giving us advice and guiding our travels, and Google’s corporate apartments have also been a money-saver and also super comfortable.

By no means has this trip allowed me to see or explore all of India, but we have been here for over three weeks and touched down in quite a few cities. I feel like we made a good effort.
I’m sure I’ll find lots of things to miss about India in the coming weeks – I’m already thinking of the temperately warm and slightly moist weather – but right now, this girl is ready to go home.

I miss San Francisco.

xoxo,
Jenn
