That cat tree.
Such a pain in my hiney. M assembled it and left it standing in front of the bedroom windows blocking ALL my light. Not ok. So I rearranged the whole apartment. Well, as much as I could. The layout of our apartment forces the couch and TV into their current spots.
I moved the cat tree into the living room and shifted the bench as well as swapped the chairs in the two rooms.
Not only does this make the apartment look somewhat cute and actually livable once again, it also gives me reason to display my two new acquisitions perfectly.
First, we have a perfectly awesome mirror in a cool metallic, gilt frame. I put it next to the bench in the now super cramped corner (because of the cat tree) to make it seem bigger.
And second, I have this amazing little wooden chest. Now my favorite house accessory ever. I don’t actually know what it’s supposed to be – a treasure chest, a lunch box, a picnic thing, a big jewelry storage unit?
All I know is that it is the best side table ever. Exactly what I needed. It holds “Anna Karenina,” a glass of water (on an agate coaster of course, don’t want to damage the already scuffed wood), and my glasses when I’m sleeping.
I love it. If my apartment caught fire, I would save this chest. And my cats of course. And M if he needed saving. But definitely this chest.
xoxo,
Jenn
