I felt the itch to shop today and because I have no money, I ducked into Goodwill. It’s only a few blocks from work and right next to the bus stop. Perfect. I always want to buy mirrors, but unfortunately, I can’t carry a 55-pound mirror back home on the bus. M is probably really thankful for the puniness of my arms.
So since I couldn’t buy the large, floor-length mirror I really wanted for $70 (so cheap!), I bought two baskets. One large one to act as a laundry hamper – I’ve been using a cardboard box ever since my blue mesh one from college got destroyed in Fremont when M’s parents cat, Patron, peed on it.
The other I had to buy because it’s a picnic basket. I love picnics. LOVE. And when I saw there was a hole for a wine bottle, I was completely sold. How cute.
I can’t wait to take this basket to CalShakes when we watch Titus Andronicus in Berkeley. I’m going to fill it full of cheese and baguette and yummy nibblies. Can’t wait.
I feel so Alice in Wonderland skipping around with the basket swinging from the crook of my arm. Yes, that did happen.
xoxo,
Jenn
