The end of bathroom business.

Other wise known as a comedy of errors.

Yes, we were only one day over schedule. Pretty good considering the reputation of any sort of construction work. But, I came home today to a disaster. Plaster, plaster, everywhere.

There was dust in every nook and cranny. Grit and little rocks all over the floor. Enough crap that I had to break out the big gun. Ze mop. We did a little tango all through the house and soon enough the floorboard and bathroom tiles were clean. Since M has Spanish class tonight, I had to bite the bullet and put everything back into the bathroom myself.

Oddities discovered include 1) somehow the nail where I used to hang my sunflower picture disappeared from the wall. M will have to hammer in a new one. And 2) the cracked washstand was fixed (sort of). The construction workers used M’s mouthwash and my face cleanser to support the broken half. However, as soon as I peeled the mouthwash out from under the porcelain, the thing fell down. Oops. Hopefully the glue’ll harden overnight?

At the end of it all. We have a new ceiling!!!

Yes.

Let’s hope this is the end of saga that shall not be repeated for the rest of our stay here in this apartment.

xoxo,

Jenn
