Two days ago, my first blog www.miaosie.com turned one. Today, this blog celebrates its birthday. I first started this space as a way of keeping my literary and creative brain alive. Working as a litigation consultant means spreadsheet, data, hard drives, and load files. All the time. There’s very little opportunity to wax poetic or write anything. So this is where my left brain lets loose and spills forth.
As the months went by though, I found so much satisfaction in keeping a daily diary of my life – complete with pictures. It’s awesome to be able to go and find out exactly what I was doing on a random date like June 16th, 2010 – playing hooky from work and taking my dad to tour Anchor brewery for an early Father’s Day treat.
It’s even better to have a place to memorialize the trips that M and I take. My Trips page and the Egypt page on the sidebar (down at the right) are great when I want to relive where I’ve been. Of course jotting down the great meals I’ve eaten, the shows I’ve seen in San Francisco, and the fun experiences I’ve had are just bonuses.
Here’s to posting every day (I’ve only missed a handful of days) and even bigger and better adventures.
Speaking of adventures, I think I’ll let the cat out of the bag on this special day. M and I have a 90% probability of going to INDIA this summer. I’m already dreaming about elephants, curries, and tropical monsoons.
Happy birthday to http://www.jenniferkoman.com!
xoxo,
Jenn
