M-ondays: Saved by Happy Hour

To be honest, I didn’t have amazing content for the post this week. Jenn took all the good stuff from our trip to Big Sur. So what was I left with?

My opportunity surfaced after we got back from Big Sur. As you probably already know, Jenn and I live in San Francisco. What you don’t know is that I store my car in Fremont, since I only need to use it for out-of-town trips. Before we could head home on BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit), I had to get my car washed so it can go back into hibernation.  During the wash, Jenn asked me:

Jenn: “Do you know what you are going to blog about tomorrow?”

M: “Nope, I have not thought about it yet.”

Jenn: “If you don’t take this seriously, I am going to take back M-ondays.”

M: “Well for the good of the blog, I guess I have to partake in some dirty fast food chow.”

Jenn: “Fine, you nugget.”

So I have good news and bad news.

Bad News- I went to Jack in the Box and it was dirty. My stomach definitely does not approve :(

Good News- I am not blogging again about Jack in the Box because I was saved by a Google-sponsored Happy Hour :)

I even had to skip my weekly yoga session to snap some photos for the blog. Google took us out to celebrate a fellow Googler’s success at Gordon Biersch.

Sorry, I forgot to take a picture of the sign.

We rented out the top-level, and I was welcomed by an array of tasty snacks.

I held off initially to get some of their amazing beer. I started off with the Marzen.

This is auburn lager that has a slight caramel aftertaste. It’s actually my favorite brew from GB. Now that I had a beer, it was time to get some chow. I started off with an innocent little slider.

That was the beginning of my downfall because  those littler suckers were  like a gateway drug – I just keep going for more. The slider was relatively simple: meat, mayo-like sauce, pickle. But those ingredients completed each other so well that every bite was a party in my mouth.

After a few rounds of beer and sliders, I had to throw in the towel.

Strength and Honor,

M
